Anne Bisson
Highly recommend that you check out Anne Bisson, beautiful voice, and piano skills out of Quebec. I was lucky enough to sit and chat with her at the Toronto TAVES show. Her first CD was done by Rene Laflamme for FIDELIO Records..it's a KILLER recording !
Her latest (Portraits and Perfumes) is on the Universal label.

A disappointing new arrival this week. Nowhere near the performance of "Blue Mind". Her selection of songs is interesting but her rendition is just too 'out there' and a bit of a stretch.
The recording itself is flawless. Typical Guy St-Onge mastering. Hope she's does better next time around. I really can't recommend it. And that's really too bad because she has a beautiful voice.

After reading your post in the system forum, I decided to give Anne Bisson a listen since it has been awhile.
"Blue mind" is a real gem and I should make an effort to listen to it more often.
However, my opinion of "Portraits and Perfumes" hasn't change. It's one of those "WTF was Guy St-Onge thinking...?"
I just ordered her new release ( August 2014) and apparently she decided to go back to her roots. I'll get back to you.
