New addition to the system.

For the past six months or so, the system was totally transformed with the addition of a modified BC22, custom DAC and BC6000.

Although the musicality was phenomenal I knew that the weakest link were the speakers. They are still fantastic reproducers of music but due to the small size of the mid-bass Peerless driver, they were physical limits in power handling.

Enter the Newform Research 630v3 with its ScanSpeak Revelator and bigger enclosure. It just blew me away...

Blue Circle + Newform= Priceless!!!

Thanks for your kind words Bish.

Since the picture was taken, I stuck some teflon sliders under the base and using the initial position of the other speakers I was able to move them around easily until I found the optimum position. I spiked them this PM. Ain't going nowhere now. Guinness time.

If it wasn't a challenge to locate I'd suggest the Bell's Expedition Stout as a change of pace. With an ABV of 10.5% just make sure you have your chores done first

Interesting set-up with speakers firing out of the corner of the room. How's the soundstaging with this set-up. I used to use a similar configuration and it gave the best soundstaging I've ever heard. At the time I was using BC8s... when they left, I realized how good those things really were at generating a 3-D stage, particularly with regards to depth!

Hi Kevin,

The sound staging was great. From corner to corner, the speakers 'saw' nearly 24'. However, it is now a moot point since I have moved and working on my new sound room.

BTW, I won't be able to use the same configuration due to architectural necessities...
