Re: Masluck's System
Hi BC Nation, I wanted to include a picture of my new Timbernation hard maple rack. It is built like a tank and weighs over 300lbs. The top shelf is nearly 3" thick and does a great job isolating my transport and my new to me VPI TNT MK IV turntable. Since I last posted in systems, I have become a p...

Vindication....!
BC Nation, How profound and novel a discovery by the audio press glitterati...something pretty well known in these parts....(BTW, this was the next page after a thumbs up for some riser clamp thingy for power cables that costs $330 (that's not a typo) that has some ionization (barf) magic dust.... h...

Can't upload/add pics
Good Evening Blue Lite Crew,
I have been trying to upload a pic of my new rack (in the Systems section), but have tried about 3x and have not received any errors. It just doesn't attach. I have done this successfully before - any ideas or is there a size limit I may not be aware of?
Thanks!
Mark

I will plug the BC26, then...
I had the very first production BC26 made as my amp (at least what I have been told) - very special indeed as well. I did move to a 206 configuration in it, but heck it lived as a BC26 for 13 years and never disappointed. I subsequently moved on to my custom BC2K4sh, but I know its new owner loves t...

What can be said...
BC Nation, Aside from the "semi-retirement" shock emanating from our fearless leader's proclamation, what can be said about the longevity of the BC electronics? I had a BC23 for 11 years without an issue and ON (yes) 24X7X365 - kinda tells you the care and design expertise that went into the "entry ...

A different path...
Hi Ivan, I don't know if you pulled the trigger on Bob's suggestion. It surely is an option. Over the last 5 years, I have actually done gone through the stages that Bob describes in his response. I had a BC26 MKI and upgraded it to a NST/BC206/LOC/M2 and after it broke in, became a wonderful amp wi...

Major Errata!!
Boy, I need to be bull whipped (especially since I work in IT). I was wrong stating that the 30KHz to 216KHz was "the clocking rate' of the interface. That is widely incorrect. It is actually 2.8MHz for 44.1KHz and varies with sampling frequency (S/PDIF specification). Crack the books Mark!!!...

Hi Tom, This is from the BC product site, as I am unsure what DAC you have. I have a BC501ob-LOC and I believe the following would hold true even for it... "The BC509 and BC507 digital to analog converters share the same decoding engine. The difference is in what size fuel tank and what kind of fuel...

Bummah!!
Hey DD,
That was always "the one" that I wanted, dreamed of having, etc. Too bad you didn't decide to sell it 3 years ago before I bought the BC3000, then did all that double GZpz/KQ stuff to it. I just bought an amp, so I'm out..
But, that is ONE FINE PREAMP sir!!

Thanks for the reply Bob! That is why I went with the "adjustable" version for both SS and tube sections that allow "all one or all another" and permutations of each. The bass on the 2K4 SS is killer; the top end of the 2K4 on "good" recordings is killer. The top end on some of the marginal recordin...
