I spent some time with both NSL models and would agree with Gilbert that the bigger brother has a slightly fuller presentation. A little more flesh on the bone. Unfortunately, I didn

The awesome NSL

Happy New Year all! I had the good fortune of living with the NSL and NSLjr amps for the past two months and thought I

I use a Macbook + BC501ob with a USB connection. Sounds much better than when I used a Mark Levinson No. 37 as a transport and probably the best digital I

Anthony Braxton

Anyone here a fan of Anthony Braxton? I had my first encounter with his music on a used LP I just bought called Five Pieces. Probably not most people’s cup of tea as it is a bit “out thereâ€￾ but I found it exhilarating. Can anyone recommend other material from his catalogue?

Thanks,

The KQ upgrade is a no brainer. Probably the most rewarding upgrade I’ve ever made.

Do you think I can use BeeBee for a design consultation when you’re done? My present listening room looks like it was designed by Fred Sanford.

My basement listening room is just under 12’ across and the speakers are 6’ from the listening position. The ceiling height is 7’. Something about that environment just kept the Tannoy’s closed in. Not sure if it was the room width or height or a combination of factors. Given that your room ...

I have the Tannoy Turnberry SE, model just below the Kensington, in my living room system powered by a Blue Circle Katlas and fronted by a BC501ob. Also tried it with my main rig BC109CP1/BC204-NT-KQ. The combinations work extremely well in my living room and sounds captivating from almost anywhere ...

Assessing a numeric value to the degree of improvement made by the KQ upgrade is a tough one for me too. I think I paid about 40% of the value of my BC204 for the KQ and feel it was well worth the extra cost. So let’s go with at least a 40% increase in performance. The improvements provided by the...

Mike, You must be experiencing what I am with the KQ upgrade. I’ve had mine for a few months now and am still amazed at the performance. It’s really hard for me to nail down exactly what it’s doing in hi-fi terms but man the music enjoyment factor has been kicked up quite a few notches. At tim...

I'd like a poster size version of that album cover for the listening room. Wife will love it! I've never heard Manowar but if you want more metal try "Psalm 69: The Way to Succeed and the Way to Suck Eggs" by the band Ministry. http://www.tlp-audio.com/forum.old/userpix/23_Ministry__Psalm_69_The_Way...
